BEFORE MAKING A FIRE
Turn off the cooking extractor in the kitchen.
Open the top damper by pulling it out somewhat. Do not pull it out all the way.
Rotate the lower handle counterclockwise to the "airflow" position, this allows smoke to pass directly out and thus enable maximum breathability for the fire.
DURING
When the fire is burning, for maximum heat retention, rotate the lower handle clockwise to the "heat retention" position, this allows the smoke to circulate in the fireplace for added heat absorption. Note that the glass doors must be closed before rotating the handle.
Prior to adding wood or opening the glass doors, rotate the handle to "airflow" position.
Do not leave the fireplace unattended.
Always keep the glass doors or metal grille closed.
AFTER
Only after the fire and all of the embers have completely burned out can you close the top damper. Rotating handle can be left in any position. There's a carbon monoxide detector in the hallway next to the bedrooms.

MAIN HEATING
The main heating is done via the Panasonic A/C in the living room, controlled via the remote control. Never turn this device off during winter. Do not put the A/C on cooling mode during wintertime.
In addition, all bedrooms have independent electric radiators that are adjusted via similar thermostats as visible on top on the picture.
Do not cover the radiators with clothing due to fire hazard.
HEATED FLOORS
The entrance, dressing room and master bathroom have heated floors. These can be adjusted via similar thermostats as the lower one on the picture. The thermostat for changing room floor heating is located on top of the water valve for washing machine. Note that adjusting floor heating will take up to 12-18h for a noticeable change.

This lodge has an "away" mode for heating and when that is in use it is adjusted via this thermostat. The away mode will never be in use during your visit. Thereby adjusting this thermostat will have zero effect on anything during your stay.
Mother-in-laws are known to adjust this and complain about still freezing.

In the dressing room, rotate the knob clockwise until between 2-4h (1 to 3 o'clock), this is the timer and thus the sauna will turn off when the timer runs out.
Delayed start is NOT in use with the current sauna model - thereby do not rotate the knob between 3 o'clock and 10 o'clock.

Once the timer is on as above, the glass panel in the entrance hall gets power.
Turn on the sauna by pressing once on the power button to the left. It will automatically show for a few seconds set temperature and then switch to show current temperature.
Adjust desired temperature by only pressing plus or minus signs and wait. The display will show again the desired temperature, and after a few seconds revert to showing current temperature.
If you press anything else you're on your own. Restart the timer above to "cut out the power" if you screw up.
It takes about 45 minutes to heat the sauna.
Disposable peflets are in the drawer.
Turn off the sauna by rotating the timer knob counterclockwise to the number 0 or 12 o'clock
Google Chromecast connected to the TV on input HDMI1. The TV turns on and off with the same remote as you control the chromecast.
Local channels are not connected to the TV.
Marshall bluetooth speaker. Turn on by flipping the power switch. Choose input by pressing the Source button. While bluetooth input is selected, keep the source-selection button pressed until the red light starts to blink next to the bluetooth icon - the speaker is now in pairing mode.
Trash can be left in the bin outside behind the cabin (outside of the kitchen) or taken to the recycle station, directions here.
Tap water is perfectly fine to drink.
First aid (Red Backpack) is located at the entrance. Fire extuingisher next to the fireplace and a fire blanket in the kitchen attached to the outer wall.
The water connection valve to the washing machine might be closed in case you receive an error message. Rotate the valve clockwise to close and counterclockwise to open. Do not overtighten the valve.
Please empty the lint trap in the drying machine after every use. The water is from the drying machine dispensed automatically into the drain, no need to empty the reservoir.
No smoking indoors.
Candles are allowed but not recommended in rental cabins. Fire is allowed in the fireplace. Outdoor fires are not to be lit on the terrace or other burning surfaces. Always check authorization prior to making a fire outdoors. Never leave any fire (candle or fireplace) unattended.
